How to Get Your eSIM

  1. Purchase Online
Select your data allowance and complete checkout. Your eSIM details arrive by email within minutes.
  2. Scan the QR Code
Open your device settings, add a new eSIM, and scan the QR code provided. A stable Wi-Fi connection works best.
  3. Activate in Czech Republic
Once you arrive, enable the eSIM as your mobile data line. Your French phone number becomes active for calls and SMS.
  4. Save Your Number
Note your new +33 number and share it with banks, apps, or contacts who need to reach you during your trip.

How the Voice Plan Works

This eSIM provides mobile data alongside a real phone number capable of voice calls and SMS—not just data connectivity. The number assigned is French (+33), which means callers dial a French prefix to reach you, regardless of where you're travelling.

Outgoing calls and SMS are unlimited, but only while you are physically located within geographic Europe. This includes all of the European continent, not just EU or EEA countries. Step outside Europe—say, during a layover in Istanbul's Asian terminal—and outgoing service pauses until you return to European soil.

Incoming calls and SMS are free and arrive anywhere in the world. This is the feature that matters for verification codes: your bank in London, your airline's booking system, or your apartment host can all send texts or make callbacks to your French number, and you receive them whether you're in Prague, Marrakech, or Tokyo. Incoming communication is not deducted from any allowance.

All plans include 30 days of validity. The line cannot be refilled or extended—once data runs out or validity ends, the number stops working permanently.

Receiving SMS Verification Abroad

Is This Plan Right for You?

The Voice plan fits you well if: You need to receive SMS verification codes from banks, airlines, or apps that won't send to your home number abroad. You expect callbacks from hotels, car rentals, or local services. You want to make voice calls across Europe without watching a meter. You're coordinating with others who need a number to dial, not just a messaging app handle.

A data-only plan may suit you better if: You communicate primarily through WhatsApp, iMessage, or other internet-based apps and nobody needs to call or text your actual number. You don't rely on SMS-based two-factor authentication while travelling. You want maximum data for the lowest price and have no voice requirements. If that describes your trip, consider the Czech Republic Unlimited instead, which focuses purely on connectivity without the phone-number features.

Still weighing options? The Czech Republic compares all available plans for your destination, including standard data eSIMs with longer validity periods.

Traveler Tips

  • Update your banking app's registered phone number to your new French (+33) number before departure—some banks require the change while you still have home network access.
  • Save your Voice eSIM number in your own contacts so you can easily share it when hotels or services ask for a callback number.
  • Test your eSIM immediately after activation by sending yourself a text from another device, confirming SMS delivery works before you need it urgently.
  • Remember outgoing calls and SMS only work within geographic Europe—if you have a layover outside Europe, wait until you return to European coverage to make calls.
  • Keep your home SIM installed but disabled; if you need to switch back temporarily for a specific app tied to that number, you can toggle between lines.
  • Download offline maps and translation apps over Wi-Fi before exploring—your data allowance lasts longer when you're not streaming content constantly.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The Voice eSIM assigns a French (+33) number regardless of your destination country. This allows the same number type to work across all European coverage areas. Anyone calling you simply dials the French number, and the call reaches you in Czech Republic or anywhere else. Share this number with contacts, banks, or services that need to reach you.
Yes. Incoming calls and SMS are free and work anywhere in the world—not just in Europe. If you fly from Prague to New York, verification codes from your bank or booking apps still arrive on your French number. Only outgoing calls and SMS are restricted to geographic Europe.
The line closes permanently. Voice eSIMs cannot be refilled, topped up, or extended. Once your data allowance is exhausted or validity expires—whichever comes first—the number stops working. If you need continued service, you would purchase a new eSIM with a new number.
Outgoing calls and SMS are unlimited throughout geographic Europe—the physical continent, not a political or economic zone. This includes non-EU countries like Switzerland, Norway, and the UK. If you travel outside Europe (such as to Turkey's Asian side or North Africa), outgoing service pauses until you return to European territory.
No. The Voice eSIM line cannot be refilled or extended under any circumstances. Plan your data needs for your full trip duration. If your travels extend beyond 30 days, you would need to purchase a new eSIM, which would come with a different phone number.
The eSIM receives SMS sent to your French number from anywhere in the world, including from banks and financial institutions. However, some banks restrict SMS delivery to numbers registered in specific countries. Contact your bank before travelling to confirm they can send verification codes to a French mobile number and update your registered number if needed.

Seamless global eSIM coverage

Get Started
The Czech Republic Voice eSIM combines mobile data with a working phone number, delivering something a data-only plan cannot: the ability to make and receive calls and SMS. Outgoing calls and texts are unlimited while you remain anywhere in geographic Europe—not limited to EU member states, but the entire European continent. Incoming calls and SMS are free and work anywhere in the world, meaning your verification codes from banks, airline apps, and booking platforms arrive whether you're exploring Český Krumlov or catching a connecting flight through Dubai. This plan fits travellers who need genuine two-way communication. If your bank sends SMS codes you must receive to authorise transactions, if rental agencies call to confirm pickup details, or if colleagues need to reach you by phone, the Voice plan solves problems that data-only connectivity cannot. However, if your travel revolves around maps, social media, and messaging apps that work over data, and nobody needs to dial or text your number, a standard data plan costs less and may suit you better. Every Voice plan runs for 30 days from activation. The line cannot be refilled or topped up—when your data, minutes, or SMS allowance runs out, or when validity expires, the service ends. The number assigned is French (+33), not a local Czech number, so anyone calling you dials the French prefix. Plan accordingly: share your temporary number with contacts who need it before you travel.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Find helpful information to answer your questions

How fast does the eSIM activate after I switch off airplane mode?
Activation typically takes 10-30 seconds after airplane mode is switched off, depending on local network availability. In some cases it's nearly instant; in remote areas it may take a minute or two. If it doesn't connect within 5 minutes, restart your phone or check that data roaming is enabled.
Will I get notifications when my data is running low?
Yes. eSIMno sends email and push notifications when you've used 50%, 80%, and 100% of your data allowance. You can also check usage anytime in the eSIMno Center or in your phone's cellular settings to track consumption in real time.
What smartphones support eSIM?
Most modern devices support eSIM, including iPhone XS and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 through S25 series, Google Pixel 4 and later, Huawei P40 and later, and many recent iPads. Check our full compatibility list before purchasing to confirm your device is supported.
How can I purchase the Czech-republic-voice eSIM?
You can purchase your eSIM directly from the eSIMno website - select a Czech-republic-voice plan and complete the payment. Within minutes you'll receive an order confirmation email that contains everything you need to install: a QR code, a one-tap install link, the SM-DP+ address and activation code, plus an "Install eSIM" button. You can install straight from that email, or sign in anytime and go to Profile > My eSIMs > Install to get the same options.
Are there any hidden fees or extra charges?
No. The price you see at checkout is the total price - no activation fees, no hidden taxes, no roaming surcharges. Your data plan is fixed-price, and you'll never receive a surprise bill from your home carrier as long as you keep cellular data off on your home SIM.
Can I tether or use Personal Hotspot with my eSIM?
Yes. Your eSIMno plan supports tethering and Personal Hotspot at no extra charge. Activate the Personal Hotspot feature in your device settings and connect other devices as you would with any cellular plan. Data used while tethering counts toward your plan allowance.
Can I get a refund after purchase?
Refunds are not available once an eSIM has been installed or activated - install codes are one-time-use, so an installed eSIM is considered used even if no data has been consumed. If you have not installed your eSIM yet and want a refund, contact support within the refund window stated at checkout. We recommend reviewing plan details carefully before purchase to avoid any issues.
When should I set up my eSIM?
A Wi-Fi connection is required to install your eSIM, so we recommend setting it up before you leave home. Activation can happen later, either right before departure or after you land at your destination - but the initial QR scan needs Wi-Fi.
How can I check my data usage?
Log in to the eSIMno Center on our website or mobile app to see your remaining data balance and usage history. You can also check usage in your phone's cellular data settings - most devices show data consumed per line.
Should I enable data roaming for the eSIM?
Yes - you must enable data roaming for the eSIM line, even though there are no roaming charges. The eSIM connects to a local partner network and your phone treats this as roaming. Enable it: iPhone > Settings > Cellular > eSIMno line > Data Roaming ON; Android > Settings > Network > SIMs > eSIMno > Roaming ON. This setting only affects the eSIM, not your home SIM.
Will the eSIM affect my phone's battery life?
Running two SIM lines (physical + eSIM) uses slightly more battery than one, since the phone monitors both networks. The difference is usually 5-10% over a full day. To minimize impact, disable the line you're not actively using or turn off cellular data on the inactive line.
Will my home phone number receive calls while I use the eSIM?
Yes - if your home SIM stays installed and active, calls and SMS to your home number arrive normally. The eSIM only handles data; voice service stays on your home line. Just remember that incoming calls and texts to your home number while abroad may trigger roaming charges from your home carrier.
