How to Get Your eSIM
- Purchase and receive your QR code
Complete checkout and your eSIM QR code arrives instantly via email. No physical SIM card, no waiting for delivery. - Scan and install before departure
Go to your phone's eSIM settings and scan the QR code. Install while you still have Wi-Fi — the eSIM will sit ready until you activate it. - Activate when you land in the UK
Enable the eSIM data line once you arrive. Your device connects to Everything Everywhere or O2 automatically. - Monitor your daily usage
Track your high-speed data in your phone settings. After 1 GB, speeds slow to 128 Kbps but the connection continues uninterrupted.
How the Unlimited Plan Works
Each day you get 1 GB of high-speed data on Everything Everywhere or O2 networks. Use it for whatever you need — uploads, downloads, navigation, social media. Once that gigabyte is consumed, your connection continues at 128 Kbps until the next reset.
At 128 Kbps, you can still load maps, send and receive text messages through WhatsApp or iMessage, check email, and browse basic websites. You cannot stream video, make reliable video calls, or upload large files. This is the honest trade-off: you're never cut off, but heavy use after the quota means patience.
The daily allowance resets at 00:00 UTC — that is a fixed moment in UTC, not midnight where you are, so check your phone's UTC offset if you plan around it. Every Unlimited bundle, regardless of validity length, includes 1 GB of high-speed data per day.
This is a data-only eSIM. There is no phone number attached, which means no voice calls and no SMS. If you need to receive verification codes or make actual phone calls, consider the United Kingdom Voice plan instead, which includes a working number.

Is This Plan Right for You?
The Unlimited plan fits you if: You're crossing the UK in a single long travel day — airports, trains, buses, and waiting rooms from morning to night. You need maps and messaging to keep working no matter what. You want the security of never being disconnected, even if speeds drop. Your usage is spread throughout the day rather than concentrated in heavy sessions.
A standard data plan fits better if: Your trip exceeds seven days — the longest Unlimited validity available. You need video calls for work or large file uploads that require consistent high speeds. You'd rather have a larger data bucket without the daily reset structure. For trips longer than a week or heavier bandwidth needs, the United Kingdom page lists fixed-data plans with extended validity that may suit you better.
Neither plan includes voice calls or SMS. This is purely about keeping your data connection alive throughout your journey across the United Kingdom.
Traveller Tips
- Download offline maps for areas with weak signal before your high-speed quota runs out — the 128 Kbps fallback works better with cached map tiles.
- Queue large downloads and photo backups for when you're on hotel Wi-Fi; the Unlimited plan excels at steady light usage, not bulk transfers.
- Keep messaging apps in text mode after hitting your daily limit — voice notes and image-heavy chats will struggle at 128 Kbps.
- Set your phone to show UTC time as a secondary clock so you know exactly when your daily quota resets without converting time zones.
- If travelling with others, each person benefits from their own Unlimited eSIM rather than draining one plan's daily quota through hotspot sharing.
- Plan your heaviest data use — video research, large emails, app updates — for early in your day when your full-speed quota is fresh.
