How to Get Your eSIM
- Purchase and receive your QR code
After checkout, your eSIM QR code arrives by email within minutes. You can also access it in your eSIMno account. - Scan the QR code on your device
On iPhone, go to Settings → Mobile Data → Add eSIM. On Android, go to Settings → Network → SIM → Add eSIM. Scan the code when prompted. - Label your new line
Name it something clear like 'Ukraine Travel' so you can identify it easily in your phone settings. - Enable data roaming
Turn on data roaming for the eSIM line. The plan will not work without this setting enabled. - Activate when you arrive
Your 30-day validity begins once the eSIM connects to a Ukrainian network. Wait until you land to activate.
How the Voice Plan Works
This eSIM delivers mobile data for internet access plus a real phone line—a French mobile number with a +33 prefix. You can make and receive actual phone calls and SMS, not just internet-based messaging.
Outgoing Calls and SMS
Outgoing calls and SMS are unlimited while you are physically located in geographic Europe. This means the entire European continent—not limited to EU or EEA membership. You can call Ukrainian landlines, mobile phones across Europe, and send SMS without counting minutes or messages.
Incoming Calls and SMS
Incoming calls and SMS are free and work anywhere in the world. If you leave Europe mid-trip, you lose the ability to dial out, but people can still reach you and SMS verification codes still arrive. Your bank's two-factor authentication, airline booking confirmations, and callback numbers all work globally.
The Number Itself
The number assigned is a French mobile number. Anyone who wants to call you dials the +33 country code, not a Ukrainian one. Share this number with guesthouses, taxi services, or anyone who needs to reach you by phone.
Receiving a Callback in Odesa

Is This Plan Right for You?
The Voice eSIM makes sense when your Ukraine trip requires actual phone communication. You will value it if you need to call rural guesthouses that only take bookings by phone, reach taxi dispatchers or ferry offices that do not use apps, contact clinics or pharmacies that require voice calls, or receive callbacks from local businesses that only dial mobile numbers. The free incoming calls and SMS also matter if your bank sends verification codes by text or if family members back home only know how to dial a phone number.
This plan is not the best fit if you spend most of your time in cities with strong internet coverage and communicate mainly through WhatsApp, Telegram, or email. If you never need to place a voice call and do not expect anyone to phone you, the standard data-only plan offers more gigabytes for less money. For travellers focused purely on maps, translation apps, and messaging over data, you can explore the Ukraine for data-only options that may match your needs better.
Traveller Tips
- Save your French +33 number in your own contacts before you travel—you will need to share it with guesthouses and local services.
- Tell anyone who might call you that they are dialling a French number, not a Ukrainian one. International dialling applies from their end.
- Test your eSIM line with a quick call before you leave the airport—confirm voice works while you still have airport Wi-Fi as backup.
- Keep your home SIM installed but disabled for data. Some banking apps require the original SIM present for security checks.
- Screenshot important confirmation numbers and addresses. If you exhaust your data in a remote area, you will still have the information offline.
- Note that the line cannot be refilled—if you expect heavy calling over many weeks, consider your timing or a second purchase for a later trip.
