How to Get Your eSIM
- Choose Your Plan
Select from 1, 3, 5 or 7 day validity based on your time in Luxembourg. All plans include 1 GB daily high-speed data. - Receive Your QR Code
Your eSIM QR code arrives by email within minutes of purchase. You can also access it in your eSIMno account. - Install Before Travel
Scan the QR code from your phone's settings while connected to WiFi. Installation takes under two minutes. - Activate on Arrival
Enable the eSIM profile when you land in Luxembourg. Your device will connect to the Orange network automatically.
How the Unlimited Plan Works
Each day you receive 1 GB of high-speed data on the Orange network. Use it for whatever you need—navigation, uploads, video calls, downloads. When that allowance runs out, your speed drops to 128 Kbps for the remainder of the day.
Here is the important part: the connection never cuts off. At 128 Kbps you can still load Google Maps, send WhatsApp messages, receive emails and check train schedules. What you cannot do at that speed is stream video, make VoIP calls or download large files—the bandwidth simply is not there.
Your daily allowance resets at 00:00 UTC. That is a fixed moment in UTC, not midnight where you are, so check your phone's UTC offset if you plan around it.
This is a data-only eSIM. There is no phone number attached, which means no voice calls and no SMS. If you need to receive verification codes or make calls, the Luxembourg Voice plan includes a working number alongside your data.

Is This Plan Right for You?
The Unlimited plan fits when: You are passing through Luxembourg on a long travel day—connecting flights, train transfers, or exploring between arrival and departure. You want peace of mind knowing your maps and messages will work from morning to night regardless of how much data you have used. You primarily need navigation, messaging and email rather than heavy streaming.
A standard data plan fits better when: Your trip runs longer than seven days, since that is the maximum validity here. You need sustained high-speed data for video conferencing, large cloud uploads or streaming entertainment. You want a larger single pool of data rather than daily allowances. For those situations, explore the Luxembourg for packages with extended validity and higher data volumes.
Traveler Tips
- Download offline maps of Luxembourg City and your transit routes before your high-speed quota runs out—they work perfectly at any speed.
- At 128 Kbps, switch messaging apps to text-only mode and disable auto-download for photos and videos to keep conversations flowing.
- The daily reset happens at 00:00 UTC. Note your phone's UTC offset so you know when fresh high-speed data becomes available.
- Since this eSIM cannot be refilled, check your remaining validity before an unexpectedly long layover—you may need a second plan.
- Keep your original SIM installed as a backup for any SMS verification codes you might need, since this data-only plan cannot receive texts.
- For trips exceeding seven days, purchasing a standard data plan with longer validity is simpler than buying multiple unlimited plans back-to-back.
