How to Get Your eSIM
- Purchase and receive your QR code
Complete your order and the eSIM QR code arrives in your email within minutes. You can buy before you leave or while already traveling. - Scan and install
On your eSIM-compatible device, go to Settings → Cellular/Mobile → Add eSIM and scan the QR code. Label it something clear like 'Greece Data' so you can find it easily. - Enable data roaming
Turn on data roaming for the new eSIM line. This is required even though you are using a travel data plan — the network treats it as a roaming connection. - Set as primary data line
If you have multiple SIMs, set this eSIM as your cellular data source. Keep your home SIM for iMessage or WhatsApp verification if needed. - Connect and share
Enable Personal Hotspot to share the connection with travel companions. Your 1 GB daily high-speed allowance covers the whole group.
How the Unlimited Plan Works
Every Greece Unlimited plan — whether 1 day or 7 days — includes the same daily structure: 1 GB of high-speed data, refreshed at 00:00 UTC each day. Use that gigabyte however you like: navigation, uploads, browsing, or tethering to other devices.
When the 1 GB runs out, your connection continues at 128 Kbps until the next reset. At that speed, you can still load Google Maps directions, send and receive WhatsApp messages, check email, and handle basic browsing. What you cannot do is stream video, make VoIP calls, or upload large files — the bandwidth simply is not there. This is a deliberate trade-off: you get peace of mind that you will never be fully offline, in exchange for accepting reduced speed after heavy use.
This is a data-only eSIM. There is no phone number attached, which means no voice calls and no SMS. If you need to receive verification codes or make actual phone calls, you will need to look at the Greece Voice instead.

Is This Plan Right for You?
The Unlimited plan fits when: You are traveling with others who will share your hotspot and you want the security of never losing connection entirely. It suits trips of a week or less where moderate daily data — navigation, messaging, occasional uploads — covers your needs. If your main concern is avoiding a dead connection at a critical moment, this plan delivers.
A standard data plan fits better when: Your trip exceeds 7 days and you do not want to manage multiple eSIM purchases. It also suits solo travelers who know their usage well and prefer a larger upfront data bucket without daily resets. Heavy uploaders — photographers syncing hundreds of RAW files, remote workers on video calls — will hit the 1 GB ceiling quickly and find 128 Kbps frustrating. For longer validity or heavier single-day usage, explore the Greece to compare your options. Being honest about fit saves everyone time.
Traveler Tips
- Download offline maps for the Greek islands before you arrive — they work perfectly with the slower 128 Kbps fallback speed and save your high-speed quota for other tasks.
- Check your phone's UTC offset before relying on the daily reset. The quota refreshes at 00:00 UTC, which may fall at a different hour locally.
- Disable automatic app updates and cloud photo sync on all tethered devices. One iPad backup can drain your daily gigabyte before anyone checks a map.
- Keep your home SIM active but set this eSIM as the data line. WhatsApp and iMessage verification stay linked to your original number while all data flows through the Greece plan.
- Brief your travel group on the speed drop. When everyone knows 128 Kbps is coming after 1 GB, nobody panics — they just switch to lighter tasks.
- If your trip runs longer than 7 days, purchase your next eSIM a day early and install it so you can switch over without a connectivity gap.
