How the Voice Plan Works
Your Cyprus Voice eSIM comes with a French mobile number that works for both voice and data. The two directions of calling operate on different geographic rules, which matters for planning.
Outgoing calls and SMS are unlimited while you're physically located in geographic Europe. This includes Cyprus, mainland Europe, the UK, and other European territories—it's based on the continent, not EU membership. Call that guesthouse landline, text a taxi company, or phone ahead to confirm a reservation without counting minutes.
Incoming calls and SMS are free and work anywhere in the world. When you leave Europe—continuing to Egypt, flying home to another continent, or crossing into non-European zones—people can still reach you at no charge. Verification codes from your bank, callback confirmations, and family check-ins arrive on your French number regardless of your location.
Data is included according to your plan tier, shared alongside the voice features. The line runs for 30 days from activation and cannot be refilled or extended when depleted.
Staying Connected at the Harbor

Is This Plan Right for You?
The Voice plan fits when: You need to call businesses that don't use WhatsApp or email—guesthouses with landlines, ferry booking desks, medical clinics, taxi dispatchers, or local services that only answer the phone. You also need it if you expect callbacks or SMS verifications: banks sending codes, airlines confirming changes, or accommodation texting door codes. The incoming-free-worldwide feature means you stay reachable even after leaving Europe.
The standard data plan fits better when: Your communication runs entirely through apps—WhatsApp calls, iMessage, email confirmations. If nobody needs to phone you and you won't dial local landlines, the voice features go unused. In that case, explore the Cyprus for data-focused options with different allowances and validity. Paying for a phone number you won't use isn't practical.
Be honest about your itinerary. If every booking is app-based and your bank uses app-based authentication, this plan over-serves your needs.
Traveler Tips
- Share your French +33 number with accommodations before arrival—they'll use it to send check-in codes or confirm bookings via SMS.
- Save the number of any business you call; if they need to reach you back, your incoming line works from anywhere in the world.
- Outgoing calls are unlimited only in geographic Europe—if you cross into non-European territory, hold off on outbound calls until you return.
- Test your line with a quick call after activation to confirm voice service is working before you rely on it for critical contacts.
- Keep your home SIM accessible for any apps that authenticate only to your original number—your eSIM number is separate.
- Plan your 30-day window carefully; the line closes at validity end and cannot be extended or refilled.
