How the Unlimited Plan Works
Every calendar day you receive 1 GB of high-speed data on the China Telecom network. Use it for cloud uploads, video calls, social media posts—whatever your workflow demands. When that gigabyte is spent, the connection does not stop. Instead, speed falls to 128 Kbps for the remainder of the day.
At 128 Kbps you can still load maps, send text messages, receive emails and check schedules. Video streaming and VoIP calls will not work at this speed; that is intentional, and knowing it upfront saves frustration. The quota resets at midnight UTC+8—that is a fixed moment in UTC, not midnight where you are, so check your phone's UTC offset if you plan around it.
This is a data-only eSIM. There is no phone number, no voice minutes, no SMS capability. If you need to make calls, use an internet-based app while you still have high-speed data available.

Consider the standard data plans instead when: you need consistently high speeds throughout the day, or your trip exceeds seven days. The longest Unlimited bundle is 7 days, and the line cannot be refilled.
