How does the one-click eSIM Quick Install link work?

eSIMno's install flow is built around a single one-tap install button that does the right thing for whatever device you open it on. Your codes come to you in two places, and here is how to use them.

Where to start

  • Your order confirmation email now contains, for each eSIM, the QR code, a one-tap install link and the SM-DP+ / activation codes - so you can install straight from the email. It also has an "Install eSIM" button that opens that eSIM's detail page on esimno.com and launches the install pop-up automatically (sign in if you are prompted).
  • In your account you can reach the same pop-up anytime: Profile > My eSIMs > Install, or the Quick Install button on the eSIM detail page.

The email block and the install pop-up both show a one-tap install button, a QR code, and manual SM-DP+ / activation codes together. (If you reach the detail page without the pop-up appearing, just tap Install or Quick Install to open it.)

What the one-tap button does (open it on the phone you are installing on)

  • iPhone running iOS 17.4 or later (including iOS 26): the one-tap button opens Apple's native "Add eSIM" prompt with the codes pre-filled - no QR scanning needed.
  • Android 9 or later (Samsung, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, OPPO, OnePlus, vivo and most other brands): the one-tap button triggers your phone's native eSIM installer via the GSMA LPA: deep link standard.
  • iPhone on iOS 17.3 or earlier: the one-tap deep link is not available - show the QR on another screen or a printout and scan it with THIS iPhone's Camera app (a phone cannot scan its own screen), or use the manual SM-DP+ / activation code.
  • Desktop browser or a different device: use the QR code so you can scan it with the camera of the phone you want to install on.

If the one-tap step does not open

On Android, certain manufacturer launchers and in-app browsers (for example WhatsApp's in-app browser) do not intercept the LPA: scheme reliably. The QR code and the SM-DP+ / activation code are always shown alongside it, so you can fall back to a normal QR scan or manual install. Remember the install codes are one-time-use - you can always sign in and open the installer again to get a fresh QR.
